What to Expect
You Are Welcome

We gather each Sunday for Holy Communion at 10:00 a.m. in Centreville’s historic Old Stone Church. Our worship is rooted in the historic Anglican tradition and shaped by the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, Holy Scripture, and the sacramental life of the Church.

If Anglican worship is unfamiliar to you, don’t worry about knowing exactly when to stand, sit, or kneel. A service leaflet will help guide you, and you are welcome simply to follow along and experience the reverence and beauty of traditional Christian worship.

Whether you have worshipped in the Anglican tradition for many years, come from another Christian tradition, or are simply curious about historic Christian worship, we would be glad to welcome you to Ascension.

Our Tradition

Our Faith

We uphold the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, a living testament to our Anglican Catholic heritage. This liturgical tradition provides a sacred framework for our worship, ensuring that the ancient rhythms of prayer remain central to our daily life.

Our Worship

At the heart of our parish life is the Holy Eucharist, where we gather around Word and Sacrament to worship God in reverence and receive the grace of Christ. Through Scripture, prayer, sacred music, and the sacramental life of the Church, our worship joins us to the faith and devotion of Christians through the ages.
